She emanated a healthy glow and wore a classy application of make-up for the occasion, while she carried her essentials in a metallic clutch.
Robert appeared thrilled to share the moment with his friend, smiling as she embraced him on the stage. The Lost at Sea star looked dapper in a traditional suit and had a healthy head of hair.
The film veterans co-star in critically-acclaimed new film Our Souls at Night - their fifth project together.
Their latest flick marks the first time they've worked together in 47 years.
Speaking yesterday at the Festival, Jane revealed she enjoyed playing a sexually empowered older woman in her Netflix series Grace and Frankie.
She told Variety: "I’m in a Netflix series called ‘Grace and Frankie,’ and I’ve had three lovers already in that series, and I love it and it was fun and I’m just so happy that we’re getting a cultural face for older women. Yay, Netflix!”
Redford also reminisced about their working relationship, explaining: “Things have always been easy with Jane. It didn’t need a lot of discussions and explaining and it stayed that way. Things fell into place, and there is a love, a connection there.”
Back in March Jane left US television host Ellen DeGeneres blushing as she held a large purple vibrator aloft on her daytime chat show.
Describing the toy, she said: "This lights up, and this is very pliable, it moves around..."
She then admitted she had done her research on lots of vibrators, playfully quipping: "Use it or lose it, right?"
