Gavin Rossdale has opened up about his "stunning" split from Gwen Stefani. In a meeting with Fabulous magazine, the 51-year-old artist conceded that the choice to end the couple's 12 year marriage had not been his, but rather underlined that he doesn't hold anything against his "extraordinary" ex.
"[Divorce] was direct inverse to what I needed," Gavin said. "Be that as it may, here we are. Aside from death, I think separation is one of the hardest, most agonizing things to experience."
Gwen petitioned for separation in August 2015 on the grounds of 'beyond reconciliation contrasts', in the midst of charges that Gavin had a three-year illicit relationship with the couple's caretaker.
While he didn't remark on the hypothesis, Gavin told the magazine: "I need to manage reality. You can't not have laments and be human in the meantime. There are bunches of situations [I'd get a kick out of the chance to change]."

The 51-year-old additionally said he was thankful for the time he could impart to Gwen. "We had 20 years together and that in itself is truly amazing," he remarked. "It's a lifetime. It was a dazzling 20 years and we have three stunning youngsters. There were bunches of positives, and with time they'll turn out to be increasingly self-evident."
Of their three kids – children Kingston, ten, Zuma, eight and Apollo, two – Gavin said that both he and Gwen stay focused on being genial co-guardians.
"For me, it was about being strong for them, and quiet however conscious of Gwen," he said. "That is the thing that I'll be until the end of time. Those days were the most exceedingly terrible days ever. It's each of the somewhat of an obscure.
